1. Collection and Processing of Personal Data
We collect personal data when you visit our website, book an appointment, use our contact form, or otherwise contact us. This includes in particular: name, surname, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, insurance data, and – in the context of medical treatment – health data.
2. Purpose of Data Processing
Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
– Provision of medical services and medical documentation
– Appointment scheduling and management (via OneDoc and our practice software)
– Billing with health insurers and self-paying patients
– Communication with you (phone, email, WhatsApp Business)
– Referrals to specialists, laboratories, or hospitals
– Improvement of our website and services
3. Legal Basis
Data processing is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023), the Therapeutic Products Act, and medical confidentiality pursuant to Art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code. Health data is treated as particularly sensitive personal data.
4. Disclosure of Data
Your data is only disclosed to third parties insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the treatment contract or a legal basis exists. Recipients may include:
– Laboratories (for blood tests and diagnostics)
– Health insurers (for billing)
– Referring or continuing physicians and hospitals
– IT service providers (subject to confidentiality obligations)
5. Online Appointment Booking (OneDoc)
We use the OneDoc Pro service (OneDoc SA, Switzerland) for online appointment booking. When booking, your contact details and appointment information are transmitted to OneDoc. OneDoc processes this data in Switzerland in accordance with their own privacy policy.
6. Website and Cookies
When visiting our website, technical data is automatically collected (IP address, browser type, access time). We use cookies for website functionality. You can manage cookies in your browser settings or via our cookie settings.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Medical communication takes place via HIN (Health Info Net), the secure communication service for the Swiss healthcare system. Patient data is stored in certified practice management software.
8. Retention
Medical data is retained in accordance with statutory retention periods (at least 10 years after completion of treatment; for minors, until the age of 30). Billing data is retained for 10 years in accordance with commercial law requirements.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access your stored data, to rectification of incorrect data, to deletion (where no statutory retention obligation exists), to restriction of processing, and to data portability. Please contact: hausarzt-enge@hin.ch
