Athletes and active people don't just want to train — they want to train optimally. In my sports medicine practice in Zurich, I combine medical diagnostics, performance testing, and prevention to take athletes to the next level.
The lactate test determines your aerobic and anaerobic threshold — the training zones in which you train most effectively. This is not a generic training program, but customised testing for your physiology. The result: smarter training, better performance.
Many athletes are micronutrient deficient without knowing it — which hinders their performance, recovery, and immune function. I test vitamin D, iron, magnesium, omega-3 index, and B vitamins. Targeted optimisation improves endurance and muscle strength.
Right nutrition is training. Timing, macronutrient ratios, and hydration directly influence performance. I develop customised nutrition plans with my athletes that support their goals — whether endurance, strength, or weight control.
The best injury is the one that doesn't happen. I analyse movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and training load. With targeted strength training, mobility work, and correct training progression, many injuries can be prevented.
Performance is not made in training — it is built through recovery. Sleep, stress management, and active regeneration are central. In my functional medicine, I optimise the entire recovery process.
